Acceptance
By using Shade Diary, joining the waitlist, pressing a checkout-interest
button, creating a future account, buying a subscription, or using the
future app, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use Shade Diary.
You must be at least 13 to use Shade Diary. If you are under the age of
majority where you live, you may use Shade Diary only with permission from
a parent or guardian. Purchases must be made by an adult or with adult
permission.
Shade Diary Is A Beauty Planning Aid
Shade Diary helps users think through at-home hair color decisions before
they mix dye. It can organize starting hair details, old color history,
formula notes, qualitative Color Reads, Color Receipts, reminders, and
Day 3 proof. It does not guarantee a dye result, prevent damage, diagnose
allergies, replace strand tests or patch tests, or replace a licensed
colorist, medical professional, dermatologist, or product manufacturer.
Hair Dye Safety Boundaries
- Always read and follow the instructions, warnings, patch-test directions, and timing rules for the products you use.
- Do not use Shade Diary to override product warnings, allergy reactions, scalp irritation, breakage, chemical burns, or professional-only instructions.
- If you have a reaction, burning, swelling, breathing trouble, severe breakage, or another urgent issue, stop using the product and seek appropriate help.
- Safety stop conditions should remain visible before purchase. Paid access unlocks the full Color Read, not permission to ignore risk.
Purchases, Subscriptions, And Hard Paywall
Shade Diary uses a hard paywall with no free trial. Your payment card
is charged immediately when you confirm a purchase. Subscription pricing:
Annual
$59.99 / year
Default Shade Diary Pro plan. Includes Color Reads, Color Receipts,
saved history, Day 3 proof, and iOS app redemption.
Weekly
$12.99 / week
Secondary plan for urgent dye-day decisions.
The price shown on the checkout screen at the time of purchase controls.
These reference prices may be updated; you will always see the actual
price before confirming.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at
the end of each billing period at the same price unless you cancel
before the renewal date or we notify you of a price change in advance.
You are responsible for canceling before renewal if you do not wish
the subscription to continue.
No free trial. There is no free trial period.
No charge is made until you confirm purchase on the checkout screen.
Web purchases are processed by RevenueCat (powered by Stripe). A web
purchase redeems to the same Shade Diary Pro entitlement used in the
iOS app. Billing support for web purchases goes to
hello@clueless-creations.com.
Cancellation
Web subscriptions (RevenueCat / Stripe): Cancel any
time through the RevenueCat customer portal linked in your purchase
confirmation email, or by emailing
hello@clueless-creations.com
with the subject line "Cancel subscription" and your receipt. Cancellation
takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access
until that date. No partial-period refunds are issued on cancellation.
Apple in-app subscriptions: Manage cancellation through
your Apple ID account settings or Apple's App Store process. Apple
controls billing, renewal timing, and refunds for App Store purchases.
Refund Policy
Payments are non-refundable. When you purchase a
Shade Diary subscription, the charge is final. Partial refunds for
unused subscription time are not issued.
48-hour first-charge review. If you contact us
within 48 hours of your first charge with a receipt at
hello@clueless-creations.com,
we will consider your request on a case-by-case basis. We may issue
a refund through Stripe at our discretion. This window does not apply
to renewal charges.
Apple purchases. Refund requests for App Store
purchases must be submitted through Apple. We have no ability to
issue refunds for charges processed by Apple.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under
applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
Your Content
You keep ownership of photos, formulas, notes, Color Receipts, and other
content you provide. You give Shade Diary a limited license to host, process,
analyze, display, and transform that content only as needed to operate and
improve the product, provide support, secure the service, and comply with law.
Do not upload content you do not have the right to use. Do not upload
another person's face, hair photo, private information, or likeness without
permission. Do not submit medical emergencies or highly sensitive personal
information into optional notes.
Acceptable Use
- Do not break the law, violate another person's rights, or misuse someone else's account or payment method.
- Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, probe, or bypass the site, app, workspace, checkout, or authentication systems.
- Do not submit malware, spam, false purchase claims, abusive support requests, or content that exploits or harms minors.
- Do not resell, copy, frame, or commercially exploit Shade Diary without written permission.
Intellectual Property
Shade Diary, the website, app designs, copy, product names, visual system,
screens, and related materials are owned by Shade Diary or its licensors.
These Terms do not transfer our intellectual property to you. You receive
only the limited right to use the service as allowed by these Terms.
Apple App Store And In-App Purchases
If you download Shade Diary from Apple's App Store or purchase a
subscription through the iOS app, Apple's terms govern that transaction.
Apple is not responsible for Shade Diary's content, support, refunds
(except as required under Apple's own terms), maintenance, or warranties
beyond what Apple's standard licensed application terms specify.
Already a Shade Diary Pro subscriber through the iOS App Store?
Manage your subscription in your Apple account settings — do not purchase
again here. If you hold an active Shade Diary Pro subscription
through Apple and also purchase through the web, you will not receive two
separate entitlements. Your Shade Diary Pro access is single-seat. If you
have a billing concern about a duplicate purchase, contact

and we will work with the applicable processor to resolve it.
Disclaimers
Shade Diary is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent
allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and any
guarantee that a hair-color result will match a reference, avoid damage,
or be safe for your hair, skin, scalp, or products.
Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Shade Diary and its operators will
not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary,
or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, failed dye results,
hair damage, correction costs, or product reactions. Our total liability
for any claim related to Shade Diary will not exceed the amount you paid
to use Shade Diary in the three months before the claim, or $50 if you did
not pay us.
Changes, Suspension, And Termination
We may change Shade Diary, update these Terms, suspend access, or terminate
accounts when needed to operate the service, protect users, comply with law,
or respond to misuse. Continued use after updated Terms are posted means you
accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law And Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and
the United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules,
and without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where
you live.
Before initiating any formal dispute, send a written description of the
issue to hello@clueless-creations.com
with "Dispute Notice" in the subject line. We will attempt to resolve
it informally within 30 days.
